With the holidays fast-approaching, it can be a very stressful time of year. Sure, there is that saying “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, but many beg to differ.  For a lot of people, work is busier as the year ends, holiday parties keep you running even after you are “off the clock” and other holiday preparation can be overwhelming.    Not to mention that the holiday season is the time where you may end up spending more time with random people than you really want to.

Here are some tips to help you get through the season:

• Show those grumpy Scrooges some unexpected kindness. You may just brighten their day and they may return the favor, to you or to someone else.
• Holiday work parties coming up? Go have fun with your co-workers. Take the time to get to know them and their spouses. Outside of work, you may find out you have a lot of common.
• Last but not least, the holidays aren’t about how much money you spend, so try to not to stress about keeping up with everyone else’s spending habits this time of year. Instead, remember the holidays are about enjoying who and what you have in your life. Take the time to enjoy what life has in store for you. It’s too short not to.
